The Republic of India is in the center of South Asia and has the second largest population in the world with more than 1.2 billion people (China being the first). It is the seventh largest country in the world by area and the largest country in South Asia. There are many different languages and cultures in India, and the only other geographical location with more different languages and cultures is the continent of Africa.
